A special experience- study English

I joined the English course in the summer vacation, because I wanted to improve my English ability about speaking and listening. Our English teacher, Keith, he is Canadian. He understood I was weak in speaking and listening, he wanted to help me, Keith always asked me to speak English to him when he talked to me, I feel that I studied under pressure in the class, even I want to leave the class, but I still tried to practice speaking and listening in the class, at last I became more confidence in speaking English, Keith really help me very much, he is a good teacher and friend.

Self evaluation
Although I got the job in the interview of Big Change Plastic Surgery Center, I think that I still have some mistakes in the process of interview. First, I was too nervous in the interview, although I tried to improve the disadvantage, I should try to relax myself. The second, I was not fluently to answer these questions in English at interview, sometimes, I spent much time on some question, I can’t answer the question immediately. The third, about my resume and cover letter, I didn’t provide enough information or experience to prove that I was suitable for the job, I should provide more powerful information about myself.
Actually, I got much experience in this interview, I found some disadvantages about myself, and I learn many skills of interview and communication, I believe that I will be better in the next time.

Next Goal: Catch the College Cup by Emily B9508007

Extra! Extraspecial! The Basketball team of Taiwan Tech passed it’s qualification for the College Cup Level A basketball game. It had been established about five to six years, and every year the team takes part in the College Cup basketball game. Recently, many physical educated recommended student of basketball joined the team, it became up-and-up under the guide of an outstanding coach. Even though it couldn’t fight into the final game this year, this is the beginning of advancement.

According to Jimmy Hong , the leader of basketball team ; their training programs focused on physical training and individual action adjusting in usual. Every week, they had two days of aerobic weight training, three days of team practice, and shot training in one morning. Comparing with the preparation before the game, they focused on physical adjusting and team tactics planning. Jimmy felt that players were well-performance in this time of the game, and the result of the game was acceptable. “The key point of our success is the perfect defense. Every player does their best to defend. “But the reason of our loss is turnovers. Because our team was lack of experience and players’ physical situations were not good enough, we lost many opportunities of getting points.” Especially, in these series games, our team fought into overtime games with some well-trained teams for two days at a stretch. In the future, they’ll improve themselves with teamwork and physiological function and learn from others’ advantages to train, as the reduction of faults. The team expects to go into the final game next time, and wins the honor for Taiwan Tech.

Choosing college courses is self-determined, but would be worrisome. After we take the courses our school requires and the classes that are required for our major, what should we take? Some of the classes are easy to pass or get high grades, but we will not learn a lot from them. While some classes are more difficult to get high grades, but they will be useful in our future career or they are more valuable because they offer useful knowledge.

I want to learn a lot during college but also get high grades. However, it’s difficult to have both two. The teachers who teach the informative classes are usually earnest and strict. They expect us to gain something from them. Thus, the assignments and pressure we have are more than others. Even we study hard and prepare more; we might not get high credits still. Therefore, somebody may choose easier classes to get high scores. The teachers do not care whether you study or not, especially in a big lecture hall class where the professor doesn’t know you. Even we don’t have to go to class sometimes. In addition, some students just choose what they have interest because they don't want to study the courses that they are not interested in.

Maybe a college student should thinks “What is the purpose of being a college student?” If you just want to get a bachelor’s degree, you can choose easier courses to pass. Provided you want to learn a lot with high grades, I think you need to manage your time well.

In high school, teachers will tell us to read pages 35-48 for class tomorrow and to start working on the paper. In college, the professors give us a syllabus. It tells us when readings need to be done and when assignments are due. We need to take the syllabus from all of our classes and figure out how to best divide up our time. I think it’s the best way to have both and it’s an important thing I have to learn.
